PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device having a function to record drive data of a vehicle and capable of recording the drive data of the vehicle in the airbag device even in a situation where the airbag is in a non-operating state.SOLUTION: An airbag device is provided with an airbag, collision sensors (24, 32, and 34) for detecting a collision of a vehicle, an airbag deployment part (50) for deploying the airbag, and a control part (20) for controlling an operation of the airbag deployment part (50) based on output of the collision sensors. The airbag device includes failure diagnostic means (S102), collision determination means (S200), sensors (72-80) for outputting vehicle status data, and recording means (28) for recording data. The control part (20) prohibits the deployment of the airbag (S120) when the failure diagnostic means (S106 and S112) determines in the failure diagnosis that there is a failure, and then causes the recording means (28) to record the output of the collision sensors and the vehicle status data with time (S122). |
