In a pilot burner 18 which is connectible to a gas supply conduit 17 by means of a screw coupling 21 a gas jet assembly 22 is provided which contains a gas jet 23 and has a cylindrical holding part 26, this assembly being replaceable according to the type of gas being used, the jet size and holding part length, which in general obscures part of an air intake 24 (Fig. 2, not shown) being matched to suit a particular gas. The clamping part 25 of the gas jet assembly may be in the form of a collar, and the assembly itself may have a rounded end containing the gas jet.</p> |
