PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an IC card from illegally being used. SOLUTION: A biological authentication device 6a authenticates a specific user who bears an IC card la by reading biological information on the user and sends the authentication result and the user identification number registered corresponding to the regular user when judging that the specific user is a previously registered regular user. A computer 3a when reading information out of the IC card 1a and providing service for the specific user according to the read information allows the specific user to use the IC card 1a only on condition that the received authentication result shows that the user is the regular user and the received user identification number and the card identification number read out of the IC card 1a are already registered while made to correspond to each other.
