The translational movement of sliding doors when they are motorised takes place generally by means of a pinion meshing on a rack or a chain. The present invention replaces these elements by a synthetic-fibre cable 2 driven by friction on a grooved pulley. To eliminate the risk that the slack side will loose tension, each end of the cable is attached to the door by means of a spring-prestress device. The invention can be used in any problem of the translational motion of movable assemblies. <IMAGE> |
