PURPOSE:To eliminate a failure of copying or the complicacy of an operation by providing a display means for displaying the possibility/impossibility of copying by different colors, on a copying start push-button for starting the copying. CONSTITUTION:When a power source is turned on, initialization of a microcomputer 83 and initialization of a copying machine are executed, and processing for inputting the internal information of the copying machine, namely, information inputted through terminals 84-94 is executed. Subsequently, based on the internal information of the inputted copying machine, processing for displaying the information on an LCD display device is executed, and in accordance with the inputted internal information, the light emission of backlight of the LCD display device is controlled. In this case, if copying is possible, backlight of green is lighted, and when copying is impossible, backlight of orange is lighted. By providing a display means for displaying the possibility/ impossibility of copying by different colors, a state of the copying machine can be recognized easily and surely, and a failure of copying or complicated operations can be eliminated. |
