<p>A sealing device for a petrol pump nozzle for use in the fuel-tank filler pipe (12) provided with an orifice (4) of reduced diameter, comprising a sealing ring (8) of polymeric material, which is provided with a sealing lip (4) that can be brought into engagement with the petrol pump nozzle. The sealing ring (8) is accommodated in a supporting body (13) of essentially tubular shape and the supporting body (13) is resilient in at least a partial region and can be introduced into the filler pipe (12) through the orifice (14) by virtue of a reversible diameter reduction.
