摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood compatible material which is formed with a titanium oxide layer (or film) on the surface of a material to be coated (base material) at ordinary temperature regardless of the material quality of the material to be coated (base material) and the shape and complexity of the surface structure of the material to be coated (base material) and is formed with the titanium oxide layer to exhibit blood compatibility as it is. SOLUTION: This blood compatible material is manufactured by the material to be coated (base material) into an aqueous solution into which a water-soluble compound containing titanium and a reagent to form titanium oxide from this component is made to exist, more particularly the aqueous solution prepared by making a fluoride ion supplementing agent exist in the aqueous solution containing a fluorotitanium complex compound as the water-soluble compound containing the titanium and forming a thin film of the titanium oxide on the surface of the material to be coated (base material). Further, the blood compatible material is improved in blood compatibility by treating the thin film of the titanium oxide formed by the method described above with hot water.
