PURPOSE:To prevent generation of nonlinear distortion by providing a control means acting an amplitude limit means by a prescribed time only, and acting the amplitude limit function by a prescribed time from the point of time of an input signal is applied. CONSTITUTION:A signal detecting application point of time of an input television signal at a detection circuit 2 (change from a low level to a high level) is connected into a signal with a prescribed width by a monostable multivibrator circuit 7 to close a switch 6, and an amplitude limit circuit comprising diodes 4, 5 is operated. After a prescribed time elapses, the switch 6 is opened again and the amplitude limit circuit comprising diodes 4, 5 is inactive and a cause to nonlinearity generation to the input television signal is eliminated. Thus, the amplitude limit circuit 1 is operated only for a transient time when an excess amplitude is inputted, then the amplitude compression of the input television signal is prevented to prevent production of nonlinear distortion. |
