PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming metallic image by which the manufacturing process of a highly precise metallic pattern composed of extremely thin wires, etc., can be simplified and the manufacturing cost of the pattern can be reduced, and then, the pattern can be formed in a uniform thickness. SOLUTION: This method of forming metallic image includes a step of forming a latent image by discharging liquid drops containing a thermosetting or ultraviolet-curing adhesive material 2 upon either a transfer body 5 or an image receptor 11, a step of adhering the transfer body 5 and image receptor 11 to each other with the latent image 2 in between and fixing the transfer material of the transfer body 5 to the image receptor 11 in an image-like state through the cured adhesive material 2 by impressing heat or ultraviolet rays upon the transfer body 5, and a step of forming an image on the image receptor 11 by transferring the fixed transfer material to the receptor 11 by peeling the body 5 and receptor 11 from each other. This method also includes a step of forming a metallic film by performing electroless plating on the portion of the image fixed on the image receptor 11. |
