PURPOSE:To enlarge the entire recording capacity of a magneto-optical disk compared with a conventional magneto-optical disk. CONSTITUTION:The magneto-optical disk 1 is provided with a format divided into a ROM area 2 in which data are recorded beforehand, for instance, as a pit adopted for a compact disk and a RAM area 3 to which an user can record the data. Further, the track pitch of the ROM area 2 does not depend on the track pitch of the RAM area 3 and is minimum within a range for satisfying allowable crosstalk, for instance. |
