PURPOSE: Provided is a method for removing a harmful component from pyroligneous liquor(smoke flavor), which removes methanol from crude pyroligneous liquor to produce edible pyroligneous liquor. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: filling the crude pyroligneous liquor into a round flask; distilling the crude pyroligneous liquor at 100deg.C; passing the distilled pyroligneous liquor through a vertical 3-step cooling pipe to remove the methanol, wherein the 3-step cooling pipe comprises a first step cooling pipe for buffering, a second step cooling pipe containing the cooling water with 65deg.C, and a third step cooling pipe containing the cooling water with 20deg.C.
