PURPOSE: A method for occupying a trunk line in an intelligent peripheral system is provided to minimize loss by an outgoing occupation by performing a control function about an outgoing call of a both way trunk line and limiting the occupation of an incoming call at a uniform rate. CONSTITUTION: If an SSP(Service Switching Point) A attempts an outgoing occupation to an SSP B(S71), it is judged whether the outgoing occupation exceeds an outgoing occupation rate(S72). If the outgoing occupation does not exceed an outgoing occupation rate, the outgoing occupation and the call process are continuously performed(S74). The number of outgoing occupation is increased(S75). When the outgoing occupation is released(S76), the number of outgoing occupation is decreased(S77) and it is an idle state(S78).
