PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate and display an accurate remaining time even when a power consumption per unit time is changed due to fluctuation in a battery voltage. SOLUTION: A remaining power calculation section 8 sets a standard value of power of a battery 2 to a built-in counter as an initial value when a battery charge detection section 3 detects end of charging, calculates power consumption based on a current consumption and on an operating time measured by a time measurement section 6 and calculates the remaining power of the battery by subtracting the power consumption from the initial value. A remaining operating time calculation section 9 reads a mean power consumption per unit time by the operating mode read from a storage section 5 and calculates a remaining time denoting it how long the operation is consecutive by the operating mode based on the power consumption and the remaining power of the battery, and a remaining power calculation section 8 calculates a new average power consumption taking the calculated power consumption into account to update the content of the storage section 5.
