PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit abuse of a high-resolution color facsimile machine for forging a bank note or securities. SOLUTION: A CPU 22 requests a receiving side for data relating to a processing ability of a receiving side facsimile machine to receive the data transmitted by the receiving side in response to the request. The CPU 22 determines whether the receiving side facsimile machine has an image processing ability enough to perform a predetermined forgery operation based on the transmitted data, and displays on a display unit 27 a warning 'forgery of securities and the like is legally prohibited' or the like, when the determination results in that it has enough image processing ability to perform the predetermined forgery operation. |
