The medium (5) is fed to a rapidly rotating plate (4), which through its rotation feeds the medium in the direction of its periphery where it is ejected. By this action, the medium is decomposed to form a particle mist (24), which is diffused from the plate. At the same time the particle mist is sucked in the direction of a forwardly fed material web (2) in connection with the rotating plate, the material web being given an electrostatic charge. - The plate rotates preferably at a speed of 40,000 rpm and the medium is decomposed to formation of particle drops with a size preferably of 0.01 mm. The tissue paper web is charged to a voltage of preferably 100 - 200 kV. |
