The place (1) to leave shoes has a rest surface (3) with a left rest part (3a) and a right rest part which are both modular parts. They combine with the carrying element (5) for attachment to the deposit device. The division element (4) runs in the direction of the backward edge of the deposit area with the seat area projecting above the seat surface. There may be a reception groove (4a) for the reception of the support element. Both seating parts may project above the seating surfaces and both seating parts are found at the same height. The reception groove may extend lengthwise over the same amount that the deposit area does. The reception groove may alternatively be shorter than that of the deposit area.
