A securement device uses a pedestal (12) secured to a support structure and comprising an outer casing with securing brackets (78). A mid-brace (28) is secured at both ends to the interior. A locking member has a locking rod (44) pivotally connected to the mid-brace and a locking bar (62) affixed at a right angle. A release rod (40) is affixed to the locking bar and extends into the partially open first end. A spring bar (36) maintains pressure on the locking rod. A mobility aid connector has an attachment bar (156) with releasable attachment locks (162). A tongue unit (174) has a receiving area at one end and is attached to a hinge (172) at the other end.
