PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clarify a new DNA encoding fumarase to provide a transformant suitable for the production of an organic acid and the like. SOLUTION: A DNA encoding the fumarase, a recombinant vector DNA, a transformant into which the DNAs are transduced, and the like are provided. The transformant has a high fumarase activity, and can be used to provide a method for efficiently producing an organic acid such as fumaric acid or succinic acid. |
