PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door opening and closing damper that can be fitted only by a fitting work of extending it between a door and a door mounting body such as a cabinet and display closing door brake function as a door closing retainer and a door opening aid. SOLUTION: This door opening and closing damper is provided with a mounting case 3 secured to a side board internal wall 1j of a door mounting body 1a and a rotationally moving arm 7 pivoted to the mounting case 3 through an arm shaft 7a and made possible to be pivoted to a door 1e. A spring retention traveling body 5 inside the mounting case 3 is pressed by a compressed spring 4, by which the rotationally moving arm 7 is energized with rotational movement force by a serial pivot pin 6a through a link arm 6 pivoted to the pivot pin 6b. As the door 1e is opened, the aerial pivot pin 6a rotationally moves in a crossing manner with a change line L and the rotationally moving arm 7 receives rotational movement force by virtue of the compressed spring 4.
