PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent toner from being splashed because it is blown out at a position where the toner left after the developing action of a developing roller carrying and developing the onecomponent toner is recovered. SOLUTION: This developing device is provided with a supply roller 42 made to press-contact with the developing roller 41 carrying and feeding the one- component toner so as to be brought into contact with a photoreceptor carrying an electrostatic latent image. In order to recover the toner left after the developing action to the inside of a developing tank in the developing area of the roller 41 opposed to the photoreceptor 1, a first insulating seal member 44 and a second conductive seal member 45 are made to abut on each other in this turn before the rollers 42 and 41 are made to abut on each other. Thus, the toner carried by the roller 41 is recovered by the second seal member 45 and the blow-out of the toner caused by the rise of pressure in the developing tank is surely prevented from occurring by the first seal member 44. The respective functions are separately executed.
