PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilating method for polyarylene sulfide resin using an extruder continuously operated for a long period without clogging a vent even in a low-molecular weight PAS. SOLUTION: This method for ventilating polyarylene sulfide is characterized in that in the method for ventilating polyarylene sulfide in which the polyarylene sulfide resin obtained by subjecting a sulfur source and a dihalogenated aromatic compound to a polymerization reaction in an aprotic organic solvent is ventilated by using the extruder with a vent, an extruder having 4D-11D (D is a screw diameter) opening length and 4D-15D distance from the end position of a screw of kneading part to a front vent opening g part is used as the extruder. |
