PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink composition which gives a record excellent in light resistance, does not cause clogging, and can give the record with a high-quality image hardly yellowing, a recording medium and a record, and to provide an ink jet recording method. SOLUTION: A compound which is represented by formula (1) (wherein X is H or an oxy radical, hydroxyl, an alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, acyl, sulfonyl, sulfinyl, alkoxy, aryloxy, or acyloxy group; R1 , R2 , R3 , and R4 are each H or an alkyl; and Z is a nonmetal atom group necessary for forming a 5- to 7-membered ring provided two groups selected from among R1 to R4 and Z may combine with each other to form a 5- to 7-membered ring) and the weight loss of which at 60 deg.C for 1 hr is 1% or lower is incorporated into the ink composition and/or the recording medium. |
