A method for reproducing an image from a photoprint is disclosed. This aspect of the present invention comprises: providing a photoprint comprising an imaging media and a data storage medium; imaging the imaging the media to produce an image on an image side of the media; encoding the data storage medium with the data corresponding to the image; reading the data from the data storage corresponding to the image; and reproducing the image based on the data read from the data storage medium.
