PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shielded inductor in which an optional gap can be formed even if it is extremely compact and thin. SOLUTION: This inductor is provided with a side wall and an intermediate leg and has an almost E-shaped section, a winding formed between the intermediate leg and side wall, a step part formed on the side wall, and a lid that is fitted to the base in a state where its edge is brought into contact with the step and that is formed to produce a gap between the intermediate leg and its top. The gap is formed by cutting the inner wall surface of the lid.
