PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing device of a recording medium transporting route which prevents the insertion of a recording medium except when a recording medium playback unit receives and discharges the recording medium. SOLUTION: The opening/closing device 1 of the recording medium transporting route is provided with a opening/closing door 13, a door gear 15, a stopper door 14, and a stopper cam 16. The opening/closing door 13 is provided with a gear 21 which opens/closes a recording medium loading slot. The door gear 15 engages with the gear 21. The door gear 15 is energized in the direction where the opening/closing door 13 is closed. The stopper door 14 opens/closes the recording medium loading slot. The stopper cam 16 is freely rotatable. The stopper cam 16 is rotated in conjunction with the stopper door 14. The stopper cam 16 is energized in the direction where the stopper door 14 is closed. The opening/closing door 13 and the stopper door 14 opens/closes the recording medium loading slot independently with each other.
