PURPOSE: A system and a method for preventing secondary distribution of digital contents and software using an asymmetric key algorithm are provided to prevent the secondary distribution of the digital contents and the software by offering the digital contents or software encrypted with a public key to a buyer through the on/offline, and allowing the buyer to decrypt it with a secrete key. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises the digital contents(1), the buyer's secrete/public key(2,3), an encryption processor(4) encrypting the digital contents, a provider memory(5) storing the raw or encrypted digital contents, a providing space(6) offering the encrypted digital contents through the on/offline, a decryption processor(7), and a buyer memory(8). The decryption processor decrypts the purchased encrypted digital contents. The buyer memory stores the purchased encrypted digital contents or the decrypted digital contents.
