PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device carryin out inspections with minimum operations and avoiding interference of cables caused during inspection by remote control, when inspecting an object to be inspected in water. SOLUTION: The inspection device to inspect an object to be inspected in water by remote control comprises a main body part whose external surface facing to the surface to be inspected of the object to be inspected is formed into a curved surface having a curvature corresponding to a curvature of a curved surface of the object to be inspected, a right-and-left motion thruster 11 which moves the main body part 1a in the vertical and 2 horizontal directions in water, a back-and-forth motion thruster 12, a up-and-down motion thruster 13, and an inspection unit 10 which is provided to the main body part 1a and has a desired inspection means and/or processing means, wherein the external surface 1b of the main body part 1a faces the surface to be inspected of the object to be inspected and moves along the surface to be inspected.
