PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide elevating stairs for a face of slope provided with a finger catching prevention mechanism. SOLUTION: The elevating stairs for the face of slope is constituted by pivoting one end parts of end faces 3a of step plates 3 arranged at a fixed interval in a fixed frame 1, pivoting the other end parts to a movable frame 2 to fold so that the movable frame 2 is overlapped on the fixed frame 1, pivoting a one end part of a link 5 for fixing a step plate angle on the fixed frame 1, mounting a slider 7 supported slidably on the movable frame 2 in the other end part, and attaching a link fixing bolt 8 screw-fitted into screw holes 9 for setting step plate angle provided at fixed pitch on a movable frame 2 side to the slider 7. When folding and the slider 7 slides from one end side to the other end side of a row of screw holes 9, a finger catching prevention member 13 for preventing the slider 7 from sliding any more is provided between a lock position and a lock release position so as to switch so that an interval between both frames 1 and 2 becomes such extent S that prevents finger catching before the movable frame 2 is overlapped on the fixed frame 1.
