<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve discharge characteristics of a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery using lithium iron phosphate as a positive electrode active material. <P>SOLUTION: The battery system unit is constituted of a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery 1 having a positive electrode capable of storing or releasing lithium, a negative electrode capable of storing and releasing lithium, and a non-aqueous electrolyte, and a separate auxiliary battery 3. The positive electrode of the non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery 1 contains lithium iron phosphate as an active material, and a temperature control device 2 which is driven by the auxiliary battery 3 and controls the temperature of the non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery 1 at 25°C or more and 45°C or less is installed at the surrounding of the secondary battery 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
