PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for logging vehicle radio data, capable of compressing measured data obtained from a vehicle while maintaining the content thereof virtually unchanged, and logging the data efficiently via a radio communication network. SOLUTION: The apparatus includes a data memory (memory card 24a) for storing, as time-series data, a plurality of measurement data being output from a plurality of measuring instruments (such as hydrogen sensors 20a) which output the measurement data obtained by measuring the states of a vehicle 10, a first data transposition means (TCU 24) for transposing and compressing the stored time-series data, a transmitting means (such as transmitting antenna 24b) for transmitting the above compressed data via the radio communication network, a receiving means (such as receiving antenna 34a) for receiving the transmitted time-series data, a data expansion means (file server 32) for expanding the received time-series data, and a second data transposition means (file server 32) for transposing the expanded time-series data array.
