An apparatus for coating the surface of profile, and a method for coating the surface of profile are provided to obtain the 3D surface of metal feeling and to allow a coating to be cured by a single curing process. An apparatus for coating the surface of profile comprises a roll coater which roll-coats a UV paint acting as a binder on the at least one surface of profile(1); and a spray coater which is installed at the upper part of the roll coater and spray coats a paint of metal feeling comprising a solvent, an acrylic bead and a metal powder on the UV paint coating layer(2). Preferably the roll coater is provided with a coating roll(32) which is installed at the upper part of profile and can rotate to roll coat the UV paint; and a coating thickness control roll(34) which is installed so as to allow its interval to the coating roll to be controlled and controls the thickness of the UV paint adhered to the surface of the coating roll according the control of interval.
