PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working machine having a safety device which is protruded forward of a fore end of an electrode and capable of detecting presence/absence of pinching of a human body and preventing breakage thereof caused by the heat generated by the electrode. SOLUTION: The safety device comprises an upper electrode 3 installed on an upper part of a body and elevated/lowered with an upper electrode driving mechanism unit, an upper detector 4 provided on the outer side of the upper electrode 3 with a distance therebetween so as to be lowered forward of the upper electrode 3, a lower electrode 6 installed on a lower part of the body, a lower detector 5 provided on the outer side of the lower electrode 6 with a distance therebetween, and arranged opposite to the upper detector 4, a current supply unit for supplying a weak current to the upper detector 4 or the lower detector 5, a current sensor for detecting the current in the detector opposite to the upper detector or the lower detector 5 with the weak current supplied thereto, and a control unit for stopping the upper electrode driving mechanism when detecting by the current sensor that current does not run, and performing the control so as to perform the elevating operation.
