PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lateral dry type crusher in which a holding time of a crushed material in a crushing chamber is long, a crushing ability of a crushing media is sufficiently drawn and crushing of the material can be efficiently performed. SOLUTION: In the lateral dry type crusher, a stirring member is alternately provided with a plurality of truncated cone-like disks having taper surfaces gradually becoming small toward one end side of a crushing tank and a vertical surface and a plurality of pins, and a communication hole extending obliquely in a thickness direction of the disk is formed on the disk. The communication hole has a first opening on a relatively inner peripheral side of the vertical surface and has a second opening arranged at an outer peripheral side of the first opening on the taper surface.
