The method for rapid release of compressed air or gas stored under pressure is implemented in such a way that with dropping of compressed air or gas pressure (p3) inside a section of closed check valves (C1) a pressure difference to the pressure accumulator, valve and valve unit occurs, as a result of which a force is created by the pressure drop and gas deflection through the piping system in the pressure accumulator, valve and valve unit to open the main valve so that there is a rapid release of compressed air or gas via the main valve (D1) and outflow opening. An independent claim is included for a pressure accumulator, valve and valve unit with integrated piping system for compressed air or gas stored under pressure for implementing the method.
