<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp without fear of falling even with a glass-made outer-tube globe broken, and capable of making small thermal resistance between a protruded part as the coldest point of a spiral-shaped arc tube and silicon resin. <P>SOLUTION: The lamp is provided with a plate 8 to which an electrode side end part of the spiral-shaped arc tube 2 is fixed, a housing 4 having a cap 5 jointed at one end and the plate 8 fixed to an opening side of the other end, an outer-tube globe 6 inserted into and fixed to a gap between the housing 4 and the plate 8 at the opening side of the housing 4 for housing the spiral-shaped arc tube 2, a protruded part 2b to be the coldest point fitted to a counter-electrode side end part of the spiral shaped arc tube 2, silicon resin 10 thermally coupling the protruded part 2a and the outer-tube globe 6, and an expanded diameter part 2b fitted to the protruded part 2a for retaining the outer-tube globe 6, if broken on a peripheral part of the opening along the plate 8, through the silicon resin 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
