The invention relates to the designs of wheels, in particular to the running wheels of cranes. An universal wheel contains a rim and a nave contacting between them over spherical surface, which are connected together by elastic elements. The rim is made of rings. The elastic elements are made in the form of oval rings, which are placed in the circle in trapezoidal depressions with curvilinear grooves of rim and nave with orientation being alternately perpendicular to each other and with possibility of changing both of form and position in the space. The radii of curvature of bottom parts and apexes of trapezoidal depressions and the radii of curvature of the contact surfaces of oval rings are equal to the permissible deviation of sizes from 1% to 20 %. The invention provides high level of reliability of operation and service life of wheel under action of dynamic loads. |
