<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drinking detection system capable of quickly and accurately determining whether or not a driver is in the drunken state. <P>SOLUTION: The drinking detection system is provided with a drunken state detection means provided on an electronic key of the vehicle and detecting whether or not the possessor of the electronic key is in the drunken state; a control means for controlling the drunken state detection means; and a driver approaching determination means for determining whether or not the driver approaches to the vehicle.
