<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more reliably synchronize an audio signal with a video signal. <P>SOLUTION: In a video audio signal transmission method and a transmission apparatus thereof, an insertion section 14 sets and stores the position information of a first signal S11 as a multiplex signal in a user bit U of a first audio signal Sa. The video signal Sv and the audio signal Sa are individually subjected to coding, and multiplexing, demultiplexing and decoding sequentially.
