<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile station positioning system and a mobile station positioning method, capable of determining a resolution of a clock-rate ratio detection between base stations, in accordance with positioning accuracy required for the system and detection accuracy of reception intervals of a spread code sequence. <P>SOLUTION: A reception interval calculating section 82(SA1) calculates the reception interval between two spread codes in the spread code sequence received by general base stations, when a reference base station determines the number of codes (code interval) and transmits the spread code sequence once. A clock-rate ratio calculating section 54(SA2) calculates a clock-rate ratio between each of the general base stations and the reference base station. A clock variation calculating section 56(SA3) calculates a clock time variation in a clock of each general base station from a clock of the reference station. A reception time correcting section 58(SA4) corrects a reception time of a radio wave which is transmitted from a mobile station and received by each general base station, to a clock time in reference to the clock of the reference base station.
