FIELD: railway transport. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems intended for distributing ballast along railway in railroad maintenance. Proposed method comprises moving railway carriage with ballast that is furnished with ballast hatch cover that opens to let ballast out onto track bed and closes to prevent discharge of ballast.
