PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in the conventional wireless communication unit transceiving a digitally modulated signal that it needs a large circuit scale because each of I, Q signals of a complex signal in quadrature detection and quadrature modulation requires analog signal processing such as processing employing amplifiers and filters. SOLUTION: The reception system of the wireless communication unit of this invention is provided with a mixer 37 that converts a received high frequency signal into an intermediate frequency signal and an analog/digital converter 11 that converts the analog signal into a digital signal, and the transmission system is provided with a digital/analog converter 12 that converts the digital signal into an analog signal and a frequency conversion section 38 that converts the intermediate frequency signal into a transmission high frequency signal, and a real time signal is adopted for input/ output of the analog/digital converter and the digital/analog converter. The sampling frequency of the analog/digital converter is set lower than the center frequency of the intermediate frequency signal, other than a fraction of an integer of the center frequency, and greater than twice the band width of the intermediate frequency signal so that it can be much decreased thereby reducing the power consumption of the circuit. |
