A tubular body having a decorative layer formed by ink-jet printing which is less prone to be broken by an external force. Tubular structures 3, 5, and 7 include a tubular body 20 and a decorative layer formed by ink-jet printing on a particular region in a surface of the tubular body in a circumferential direction. The decorative layer includes a plurality of coloured layers 32A, 32B, 32C, and 32D formed in a circumferential arrangement, and wherein each of the coloured layers includes overlap portions 40 where the coloured layer overlaps with neighbouring coloured layers at border areas thereof. The layers are formed by forming a first coloured layer and subsequently rotating the tubular structure by a predetermined angle before forming a second coloured layer. The angle of rotation is chosen such that the first and second coloured layers overlap. The decorative layer as a whole can form a graduated or lattice pattern and maybe formed on a fishing rod or the like. |
