PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding machine of a shaft-shaped workpiece, having a downsizable processing chamber and capable of achieving space-saving and cost reduction.SOLUTION: A grinding machine 1 of a shaft-shaped workpiece includes: a pressing mechanism part 7 for positioning the workpiece 5 in an axial direction by pressing one end face 5e of the workpiece 5 in the axial direction; a chuck device 2 for gripping an outer peripheral surface of the workpiece 5 brought into contact with a positioning member 12; and a grindstone unit 6 for rotating a grindstone 61 which grinds the workpiece 5 gripped by the chuck device 2. The pressing mechanism part 7 includes: an end face contacting member 71 for contacting the end face 5e of the workpiece 5; a dress member 72 for dressing the grindstone 61; a spindle 73 to which the end face contacting member 71 and the dress member 72 are attached; transferring means 74 for transferring the spindle 73 in the axial direction of the workpiece 5; and a motor 75 for rotating the spindle 73. |
