PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver suitable for suppressing degradation in the update accuracy of a list while reducing the cost by introducing a Station Check command.SOLUTION: The broadcast receiver includes storage means for storing the channel information of a frequency channel constituting a channel list, display control means for displaying a channel list on a predetermined display screen on the basis of the channel information, electric field intensity detection means for detecting the electric field intensity of each frequency channel by changing the frequency channel received intermittently, and update means for updating the channel list on the basis of the electric field intensity thus detected. The update means determines whether or not reception of the frequency channel is difficult on the basis of the electric field intensity thus detected, and clears the display of channel information corresponding to a frequency channel, reception of which is determined difficult first predetermined number of times continuously, from the channel list, out of channel information constituting the channel list. |
