PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cellulose acylate film to be used for a polarizing plate protective film, which is suitable for an IPS type liquid crystal display device and has small optical anisotropy, and a polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display device using the cellulose acylate film, and to provide a cellulose acylate film capable of achieving a reduced thickness of a polarizing plate protective film and higher durability of a polarizing plate, which are properties demanded in recent years, compared to conventional products, and a polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display device using the cellulose acylate film.SOLUTION: The cellulose acylate film contains each at least one of the following additives (A) and (B), and shows an in-plane retardation (Re) of -5 to 5 nm and a retardation (Rth) in a thickness direction of -10 to 5 nm at a wavelength of 590 nm in an environment at a temperature of 25°C and a relative humidity of 60%, and has a thickness of 15 to 35 μm. The additives are: (A) polyester oligomers having a repeating unit comprising a dicarboxylic acid and diol and having a number average molecular weight of 500 to 3000, in which, in the above dicarboxylic acid, a molar ratio m of an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid and a molar ratio n of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid satisfy m:n ranging from 5:5 to 0:10; and (B) a sugar ester compound having at least one of a pyranose structure and a furanose structure with the number of 1 to 12, in which all or a part of hydroxyl groups in the structures are alkyl-esterified.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
