PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user terminal that performs D2D communication that is direct inter-terminal communication and performs cellular communication with a base station.SOLUTION: D2D communication is performed by using a part of uplink radio resources of cellular communication. A user terminal includes a control part that, when receiving, from a base station, a timing advance value (TA) to be used to adjust transmission timing in an uplink of cellular communication, applies in common the timing advance value to adjust transmission timing in the uplink and adjust transmission timing in the D2D communication.
