PURPOSE: A backlight for a flat display device, using a hologram is provided to reduce the parts such as a diffusion plate by mounting a hologram to a light guide panel, thereby simplifying the structure and increasing the light efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A backlight for a flat display device, using a hologram includes a light guide panel(13), a first light source(11) provided to a side surface of the light guide panel, and a second light source provided to a bottom of the light guide panel for emitting light by using the incident light from the first light source as reference light, wherein the second light source is a hologram(25), a reflection plate(17) is further provided to the bottom of the second light source, and a prism plate(21) and a protecting plate(23) are further provided in front of the light guide panel in sequence. |
