PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte cell which restrains ignition after a pressure releasing means is released. SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte cell comprises electrodes of a positive electrode and a negative electrode, a nonaqueous electrolyte solution, a cell container 2 divided into cell chambers in which, the electrodes and the nonaqueous electrolyte solution are enclosed, having a pressure releasing means 23, releasing the pressure in the cell chamber by making the cell chambers communicate with the outside when the pressure in the cell chamber reaches a releasing pressure, and a gas supply means filling the cell chamber with inert gas by supplying inert gas in the cell chamber when the pressure releasing means 23 is released. As the cell chambers are filled with inert gas when the gas releasing means is released, ignition in the chambers is not generated, and the nonaqueous electrolyte with excellent safety is realized. |
