PURPOSE:To decide whether or not the uniform coupling acceptable by applying a rotary driving force to the outer member of the uniform coupling while slanting its inner member, and detecting current variation in rotary torque. CONSTITUTION:A driving device 4 is held in an upright state, and the uniform coupling X as a body to be inspected is held rotatably on the bearing 2a of an outer holding means 2. Then the elevation cylinder 20 of the driving device 4 is driven to lower an elevation machine frame 19, thereby engaging a driving shaft 3 with the spline of the inner member of the uniform coupling X. In this state, an electric motor 14 is driven to rotate a torque meter 8 which constitutes a driven part 4a, an engaging means for the spline, and the driving shaft 3 through a belt 12. Then, the slanting cylinder 30 of a parallel link device 7 is compressed to swing oscillatory links 25 and 26 around support shafts 5 and 6. Inspection is performed by confirming the number of balls of the uniform coupling X and detecting variation in the rotary torque at the time of the slanting of the driving shaft 3 by respective sensors and the torque meter 8. |
