PURPOSE:To correct a difference in the form of a meniscus due to a difference in back pressure, form ink droplets of uniform size easily and thereby allow high image quality to be obtained by making the surface of the outside of an orifice at the bottom of a jet head more effectively wet-proof than that on the top. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of orifices are vertically arranged in the form of an array on a liquid jet recording head. The orifice surface 1a of a jet head 1 is directed in the direction of a spray gun 6. At the same time, the 1b section of the jet head 1 is arranged on the top and the 1c section at the bottom and the jet head 1 is tilted so that mist 7 spewed from a spray gun is allowed to stick to the bottom easily and not to the top, and the surface of the outside of the orifice at the bottom of the jet head is treated to be more effectively wet-proof than that at the top. A difference in the form of a meniscus due to a difference in back pressure is corrected by the difference of wetting characteristics, and thereby the size of ink droplets is uniformized. |
